Public Notice-Road Closure Sunday 5th June 2022

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

THE HERTFORDSHIRE (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BIRCH GREEN, BIRCH GREEN DURING A ‘QUEEN’S PLATINUM JUBILEE STREET PARTY’) ORDER 2022

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 16(A) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Birch Green, Birch Green from its junction with Foxdells north eastwards and north westwards for a distance of approximately 250 metres, except for access.

An alternative route will be via Birch Green, 3U185 (unnamed road), Chapel Lane, Station Road, Cole Green, The Old Coach Road and Birch Green.

The section of road will be closed between the hours of 9.00am and 9.00pm on 5 Sunday June 2022, when signs are in place.

The purpose of the Order is to ensure public safety and prevent accidents for the duration of the ‘Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Street Party’.

A copy of the proposed Order may be inspected free of charge at County Hall, Hertford between the hours of 9.00am and 5.00pm (excluding weekends, bank and public holidays).

Due to the resignation of Cllrs Elizabeth Bradbury and Magda Atkins, there are two new vacancies in the office of Parish Councillor for Hertingfordbury Parish Council

If by 10 June, 2021 a request for an election to fill the above vacancy is made in writing to the Returning Officer at the address below by TEN local government electors for Hertingfordbury Parish, an election will be held to fill the vacancy.

If an election is not requested by ten local government electors, the vacancy will be filled by co-option as soon as practicable after 10 June, 2021.
